Chelsea Spent Over £90m on Agents Under Roman Abramovich

New figures released by the Football Association reveal Chelsea's spending on agents and intermediaries

The Blues spent over £15m during the 2015/16 season

Chelsea have spent more than £90m on agents and intermediaries fees during transfer deals under Roman Abramovich's ownership, according to figures released by the Football Association on Friday. The Blues spent over £15m during the 2015/16 season, the highest amount of any club in the Premier League. Manchester City were the second-highest spenders, with £12.5m, while Manchester United spent £7.9m.

The figures show that Chelsea have spent a total of £75.9m on agents and intermediaries fees since Abramovich took over the club in 2003. This is more than any other club in the Premier League during that period. Manchester City are second with £59.3m, followed by Manchester United with £44.6m.

The Football Association's figures also show that Chelsea have paid out more than £9m in agents and intermediaries fees during the 2022/23 season. This is the highest amount of any club in the Premier League so far this season.
